Hubert pitched for Texas A&M from 1949-1951.〔(Texas A&M Career ) Retrieved on 5 January 2014.〕〔(Texas A&M Aggies Baseball 1951 ) Retrieved on 5 January 2014.〕 He was named an All-American Pitcher for the Texas Aggies in 1951, an All-SWC Pitcher in 1950 and 1951, voted the Most Valuable Pitcher in 1951, was a member of the Southwest Conference Co-Championship Team in 1951 and pitched in the College World Series for the Aggies in 1951.〔(Patrick L.
